Proudly built by US precasters

New building systems with industrially produced precast concrete elements will change US cities. At the same time, it will become an important job machine.

Precast as solution for new demands

Why is this? Precast concrete architecture is getting more and more the leading construction method. It not only guarantees high-quality construction, lower construction costs and shorter construction times compared to conventional building systems, but most important it is resistant to the hardest weather conditions such as in the worldwide hurrican regions.

Even it makes building projects in earthquake zones possible. Our Vollert engineers are experts in the latest building systems and technology for precast concrete production.

Why precast is the unbeatable way

Construction with precast architecture is resistant to the hardest weather conditions such as in the worldwide hurrican or regions. The advantages against conventionals construction methods are manifold and convincing. This is why it is the leading building method of today.

Building with precast concrete is fast too. To get an idea for the construction speed, e.g. when one floor has 8 apartments and consists of a total of 210 to 220 individual components. With a production and crane capacity of 150 to 200 elements per day, floor cycle times of 3 to 5 days can be achieved - 10 to 15 days are required for the conventional block construction method.

Among this advantages, there are many more as:

  • Highest standards in construction quality combined with significant lower construction cost
  • Reduction of the CO2 footprint by 25% and water consumption by 50%
  • Excellent thermal performance of the buildings
  • Weather and fire resistance and even earthquake-proofness
  • Precast is a local job machine as in interior construction the demand and thus the manual activities by craftsmen will increase immensely due to the higher construction volumes

Building and construction systems

Precast construction is setting new trends in residential and industrial buildings worldwide and shows what is architecturally possible nowadays. From one-family homes to multi-storey apartment buildings, through to multifunctional industrial buildings and high-quality, sophisticated façades - the sky is the limit.

Therefore precast concrete architectur is today´s leading construction method. It will now be decisive to develop the best construction system for the US market.

The best construction system for the US market

A construction system with purely hollow-core or solid walls and floors has not turned out to be ideal. Rather, it will be a combination of various precast elements that will prove successful in the long term. A close know-how transfer with the architects and the technology supplier is important for this in the preliminary planning.

Precast concrete equipment

Modern formwork systems and start-up solutions make it possible today to produce prefabricated walls, floors and structural concrete elements even with low investment budgets. Technology ´made in Germany´ is also no longer a vision of the future. System suppliers such as the traditional Vollert brand offer innovative concepts, in which state-of-the-art machine solutions can be combined with varying degrees of automation. Stationary tilting tables or battery and room cell formwork as well as special formwork for columns, beams and stairs are also interesting entry-level models.

Successful construction projects from all over the world show what massive advantages the new construction method offers and how successful investments can be implemented.
